Egypt smiled to herself. She was still leery of jumping right into anything although she could see him trying to show her what he was about. She hoped he wouldn’t turn into somebody she didn’t know after the baby was born. Egypt got dressed and was ready to go by 11:45. At twelve sharp she answered the door to a smiling Kharan.

“Good afternoon ma, how are you feeling?”

“I’m good. Thank you for the flowers, they were beautiful.”

“You deserve them,” he said leading her over to a new booty Escalade.

He opened the door for her and made sure she was comfortable before getting in himself. “What happened to the Nav?” Egypt asked as he pulled off.

“I lost it in a bet I made with Cuddy on a basketball game. I like this better, though,” Kharhan stated like he was only talking about losing five dollars.

Egypt laughed.

“What’s funny?”

“So this is what it’s like when your money is long? Nigga betting whole cars on games? That was a new booty Navigator Rhan,” Egypt said continuing to laugh.

Kharhan laughed with her. He and Reem had come a long way to be able to do these things. He enjoyed every damn dime of his money.

They ended up having a nice lunch at a local soul food spot called Niecie’s. The food was good, and it was a nice chance for Egypt to really get to know Rhan without discussing business. It was a chance for her to really get to know him.

“You have any other brothers or sisters,” Egypt asked.

“Nope, just me and my twin,” he somberly replied.

“So, how long y’all been getting it?” She asked switching the subject.

“Since we was like thirteen. An opportunity kind of just fell in our lap. BK born and bred.” Kharhan replied.

Egypt nodded. “I’m a Leo, and I like kids too,” Rhan added causing her to smile.

“You play too much. I do have another very important question for you.”

“Shoot,” Rhan said taking a sip of his orange juice.

“Are you ok with me being your woman and employee? I mean really, are you ok with your girl playing the streets?” Egypt asked.

“Egypt the only reason you’re sitting here now is because I’m ok with you handling business. I would never ask you to do something I can’t do myself. Plus we have a contract for just a year. I plan on us being together much longer than that.” Kharhan said.

“Ok, good answer. What’s your favorite color, cartoon and food?”

“Black, The Flintstones were the shit, and I’m a statistic, I love fried chicken,” Kharhan said as they both laughed.

“Ummm, you even have a sexy laugh,” Rhan said.

“You’re killing me with these compliment’s Rhan,” Egypt said taking a bite of her food. When she looked back up Rhan was still staring at her.

“What’s up,” she asked with a raised eyebrow.

“What you want our wedding colors to be,” Rhan asked seriously.

Egypt laughed almost spitting out her water.

“So we’re getting married now?”

“One day.
